Just great books!
Julie Murphy
Murphy's second book, Puddin', tells the story of Millie, a minor character from Dumplin'. Although overweight, and therefore not camera ready, Millie is determined to be a broadcast journalist. In addition to her weight, Millie must also face the obstacle of her parents' strict fundamentalist values.
Murphy's characters are fully developed and engaging. Even the supporting characters seem like fully developed human beings.
