Lincoln's Top 20 - ROAR
Vision: Success for ALL
Lincoln's 3 R's - Respect - Responsibility - Readiness - Safety
The fundamental way Lincoln’s TOP 20 mission is achieved and goals attained is the consistent and intentional creation of a TOP 20 culture built on four key Cornerstones:
- R-Respect To ALL -I will be Respectful -Communicate You Matter/Honor Absent
- O-Own Your Choices -You're the Driver of Your Bus -See the Problem Own the Problem
- A-Always Be Ready -Ready to Learn, and Problem Solve -Help Others Succeed
- R-Responsible For Your School -I will be Responsible -See the Problem Owen the Problem
Lincoln's High-Reliability School Certifications:
Level 1 Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture (May 2020)
Level 2 Effective Teaching in Every Classroom (May 2021)
Level 3 Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (Our focus this school year)
SEL Update
This year, Dickinson Public Schools has taken a deeper dive looking into social-emotional learning competencies for our students. CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning) narrows our focus to look at how students grow in the areas of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision Making. With these areas as our foundation, Lincoln Elementary is working to enhance instructional practices, ensuring students develop the necessary skills in each of these areas. The SAEBRS assessment is used to periodically monitor our students’ social, academic, and emotional behaviors. This data informs our school SEL Team about areas of growth in our school and guides interventions for grade levels, classes, and specific students. Lincoln Elementary has engaging and purposeful instructional resources through the Top 20, QuaverEd, Zones of Regulation, Mind UP, Playworks, and through ROAR expectations. Additionally, our Lincoln Lions learn about the power of positivity and are celebrated in their successes through ROAR Tickets, Positive Office Referrals, and Lions Den PAWS. Lastly, through continued effort and focus on becoming a High Reliability School (HRS), it is critical that we hear back from our entire school community regarding the Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative environment that we strive to maintain. The information we learn from our HRS survey informs our school leadership team about necessary areas of growth, not only in our instructional practices but in all aspects of the school. We are excited to have an intentional focus for the work we do in educating students and supporting their growth in all areas.
