2020-21 Yearbook Information
The CHHS Hillife Yearbook staff is diligently working to come up with unique and interesting ways to chronicle this challenging and unique school year. We are planning to chronicle the challenges that students, teachers, and administrators are navigating distance learning while also detailing the anticipation for our new building. Everyone involved has had to display incredible resilience as we strive to maintain the excellence that is a hallmark of Chapel Hill High School.
We also wanted to let you know that book sales have opened on the Herff Jones website. You can go to www.yearbookordercenter.com, enter the code 15298 to find our school, then just follow the prompts to order a yearbook for your student. We had a great year with sales last year and sold every book that we ordered, if you want to be assured that there is a book waiting for your student in early summer the easiest way is to pre-order.
Additionally, we have opened up Senior Tribute Ad Sales, this is a wonderful way to show your student how proud you are of all the work they have put in before they head off on their new adventures next year. In an effort to help the families in the community we have lowered our prices this year, the prices are all detailed on the Herff Jones website that you can access for book sales, in this case just follow the link for Senior Ads. We've moved the process online this year as it is the most efficient way for you to create an ad that best suits your needs. Should you have any questions I will do my best to help you to the best of my abilities.
I want to say thank you for taking the time to read this message and we look forward to producing a truly unique and high quality yearbook. If you have any questions about either book sales or ad sales please contact me at tstanfa@chccs.k12.nc.us.
Lunch and Learn Wednesdays!
CHHS’s Career Development Coordinator, Cierra Hill, is creating a Wednesday Lunch and Learn series to bring in virtual speakers to talk about different careers. She is looking for speakers for the 12-1 pm lunch break each Wednesday.
Upcoming speakers for the month include:

Access to Student Information by Military or College Recruiters
Dear Parent/Guardian and Secondary Students:
Our district receives funds from the federal government under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. These funds are used in a variety of ways to provide additional help to students in greatest academic need. The law also requires that districts receiving these funds must, upon request, provide military recruiters, colleges and universities, access to the names, addresses and telephone listings of secondary students.
It is important for you to know that a secondary school student or his/her parent or guardian may request that the student’s name, address, and telephone number not be released by the district without prior written parental consent. If you would like to make such a request, please complete the following and return it to your child’s school.
Here is a link to the form. Please email signed forms to cierramhill@chccs.k12.nc.us
