Parents of SENIORS.
Is your student thinking about joining the military after high school? Do they need to take the ASVAB?
On March 8, 2022, we will be administering the ASVAB at Park Hill High School as a part of our test day. Park Hill High Seniors only have the opportunity to sign up and take this test on March 8th. You can use this google signup sheet to take advantage of this opportunity. Space is limited.
Prom Boutique
Woods Chapel United Methodist Church will host its Prom Boutique March 9-12 at the church, 4725 NE Lakewood Way in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. This event provides free prom dresses and prom accessories, plus a limited number of men’s suits and tuxedos, to high school students.
Boutique hours will be 3-7 PM on, March 9, 10, and 11, and 9-1 PM on March 12.
The Prom Boutique will feature 3,000 new or almost-new prom dresses from size 0 to size 32. Basic alterations will be available on site. Boutique guests may also select a pair of shoes, a purse, and jewelry appropriate for a prom or other special event. A smaller, separate section of the boutique features men’s dress suits, shirts, ties, and shoes.
The Prom Boutique strongly recommends that everyone in the building wear a mask. Masks will be available at check-in for students and guests.
For more information, contact the church at (816) 795-8848, visit the Prom Boutique website (www.promboutique.org), follow us on Facebook (WCCPromBoutique) or email promboutique@outlook.com.
Clothing Center
The Park Hill Clothing Center currently has a very large inventory on the racks. Stock up for summer-early since we shut down in May. We still have plenty of warm weather clothes and coats as well. No appointments are necessary, but masks are required. The schedule is found here: https://www.parkhill.k12.mo.us/families/pta-clothing-center
Volunteers are always needed! Thank you all so much for the numerous donations, however, we often have a difficult time hanging up all of the incoming clothes. There are two sign-up genius links for volunteers: There is one sign-up genius for the 2-4 pm timeslot every Tuesday that doesn't have shoppers present. That sign up is here and students are welcome to help out https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508084fa4a72ba0fa7-canyou
Then there is a second sign-up for the Tuesday 10-12 pm and 5-7 pm slots when shoppers will be there. When shoppers are present we can't have students helping due to confidentiality. That sign-up is here: https://www.signupgenius.com/.../508084fa4a72ba0fa7...
We appreciate all of your help!!

If your child tests positive for COVID-19, keep your child at home and contact the school nurse to get information about when your child can return to school.
If you believe your child has been exposed to someone that has tested positive for COVID-19, contact your child's physician or the health department at 816-513-6008 to find out if your child needs to quarantine or not. If your child does need to quarantine, please contact the school nurse to let them know the dates your child will be out of school.

The PH Rapid Antigen Testing Site is still available to staff and students and is located at Plaza Middle School. If your child is having symptoms and you want to get them tested for COVID-19, please call 816-359-5326 to make an appointment. If your child is not having symptoms, they will not be able to use the District Antigen Testing Site.
Snow Days/AMI Days
District procedure is standard for all buildings to have AMI from 8:00 – 3:40. We will be following the following framework. The AMI day would be the color day being missed.
Ex. Monday is a RED day with clear weather and a full day of school. However, Monday night is a snowstorm so Tuesday (a WHITE day) is AMI. When the roads are clear and school attendance returns on Wednesday, it is a RED day just as called for in the long-range calendar.
Late Start Days
The district might announce a two-hour delayed start for students if there are dangerous weather, temperature, or road conditions in the morning that are forecasted to improve later in the day.
If the district announces a delayed start for students, the school will start at 9:50 AM. The school will end at its normal time, and afternoon bus drop-off times will be the same as usual. Please see the attachment for the 2021-2022 PHHS Late Start Bell Schedule.
No early drop-off:
Students must be dropped off at school two hours later on delayed-start days.
Professional Studies programs:
Morning Professional Studies programs will be canceled. This includes the Northland Career Center, Northland CAPS, Metropolitan Community College’s Business and Technology program, and all Park Hill Professional Studies courses. Afternoon Professional Studies programs will still take place.
Nutrition:
Lunch will be provided on late start days. Breakfast will be a grab-and-go option.
Early release days:
If we have a delayed start on a day scheduled for early release, there will be no early release that day.
No Outside Food Deliveries for Students
Please remember that we do not allow outside food to be delivered to students. This is not just a Covid policy, but something we do to help our processes run more efficiently. In the past, we've been overrun with food deliveries, which can be difficult when our front office is dealing with more pressing matters.
