After FSA testing events

Hey parents- after the Writing FSA, Mrs. Forgue and I cooridinated to arrange a pizza delivery, soda and chips for all the students. We used the unscheduled time to design and engineer rockets for the TIMS Lab challenge.

We are looking for volunteers to take care of the other FSA days arrangements. Pizza works, or if you have another idea, maybe we can work it out. The cafeteria is still an option for lunch also.

If you would like to volunteer or help in any capacity, please let your home room teacher know.

Study / Homework Help

I am available most mornings to help students that struggle. My door is open at 7:00 a.m. As we get closer to FSA, students should develop a study routine and increase their study time. If I can help with additional studies, please let me know.

Rocket Design Update

In preparation of Space Camp, we started our 4 week long rocket project in the TIMS lab in which students will build and test water rockets using the scientific method, engineering skills, inquiry skills, research and design skills and high level vocabulary.

We are now entering Phase II. Students will modify their rockets to carry an egg (their astronaut). Students must try to have their astronaut survive a flight of the rocket. Last week we did our second launch. Students redesigned their rocket and make needed corrections for flight.

Meet the Class! This is the Easter Bunny

The Bunny is new to our class. He will be here only a short time. Perhaps you know him or have seen him. He loves chocolate and jelly beans. He says "Hope everyone had a good holiday and break!"
