As in past meetings, when approving accounts payables, Board members Lisa Roth and Rob Cohen declined approval for payments to the cyber charter schools in an effort to emphasize disgust in paying mandated reimbursements to underachieving cyber schools who are not held accountable for their performance. Public tax dollars are supporting cyber schools at a mandated rate that is exorbitant.

David Kennedy gave the LCCC Report.
Bob Bold announced the 2017 Parkland Foundation Distinguished Alumni Wall of Honor Inductees:

1978 Mark W. Jaindl, Chairman/President/CEO, American Bank & Chairman/President/CEO, Jaindl Enterprises
The next Community Advisory Council Meeting will take place on March 16 at 7 PM at the Administration Center. The topic of the meeting will be “Full-Day Kindergarten / Mindfulness.”
Rich shared the good news that Parkland is receiving a FEMA 2016 storm reimbursement for the winter storm of 2016 when approximately 36 inches of snow fell. We will be reimbursed 75% of our total expense for the snow removal which equates to $35,865.62.
The abandoned house on the Stadium Drive property that Parkland purchased in 2014 is of no value and has become a nuisance. School Services supervisors and grounds crew, will raze the house. Before it comes down, Parkland is happy to announce that they've given permission to Greenawalds Volunteer Fire Company to perform entry training on the house. Fire companies usually do not have a structure available to actually perform entry training since they will be using large saws to cut holes in the roof and walls of the structure.
