Dear Penngrove Families,

I wish you all a wonderful winter break with your families! As we close out 2020 (FINALLY) and welcome 2021, I would like to thank each and every one of you for being a part of our Penngrove community. Against all odds this year, your have children have brought enthusiasm, curiosity, and spirit to their learning and we know it is your love and support as their families that have made them so resilient and strong.

I found a short video that highlights the values of empathy, compassion, and generosity despite the immense challenges that COVID has presented us. I have included it below and hope that will set the tone for a wonderful holiday season for your families filled with love, sharing, and kindness.

With love,

Mrs. Fadeji

Penngrove Elementary is embarking on an exciting endeavor to build a new playground on campus for our amazing Penngrove Panthers! We are asking for our communities support to ensure that we can Let the Panthers Play in 2021. To assist with our capital funding, we are selling engraved bricks that will be installed throughout campus. Engraved bricks provide an opportunity to remember a loved one, a special event, commemorate your years as a Panther, or act as a great gift to family and friends!

We are offering two types of bricks for sale. The first is a 4x8 engraved brick with up to 3 lines of text and up to 18 characters per line for $100. The second is an 8x8 engraved brick with up to 6 lines of text and up to 18 characters per line for $200. You can also purchase a printed Donor Certificate for $10 or duplicate of your donated brick with a felt backing to keep at home for $40 for the 4x8 brick and $80 for the 8x8 brick.

Penngrove bricks will be produced every other month. Orders for our first production run are due January 31st and will be installed on campus in March.

Through your participation in this fundraising campaign, you are helping to build a future filled with playful memories and are making a permanent mark on our school and our future generation. The entire Penngrove Elementary community thanks you for your dedication to bettering the lives of our students! Order your brick now!

These students deserve special recognition for being Distance Learning Superstars! When asked, their teachers shared, these students bring smiles, positive attitudes, sparkle, and fun to their class meetings. They show kindness and caring to their classmates while also being eager learners who are prepared, respectful, and engage in discussions. Sometimes it's waving goodbye to peers or advocating when they need help, but these students have left an impression! Way to go Distance Learning Superstars! We are so proud of you!

Most of the kids react as you’d expect — an Oscar-worthy meltdown. But every couple of videos, there’s a rare little one who expresses pure joy after receiving a slightly browning banana or travel size deodorant. As parents, these are the tender (and hilarious) moments we love to see from our kids. So, how do we help teach them to receive gifts graciously and genuinely.... (click here to keep reading).
