Principal's Message

I am so happy to be back at CFT this week and out of quarantine. Reconnecting with staff and students has filled me up and brightened my days. My gratitude was amplified in my absence, and coming back, even after only a week away, feels like coming home.

It also reinforced for me the importance of taking steps to stay healthy as the weather changes and cold and flu (and COVID now) season sets in. Below are a few things we can all do to help minimize the spread of winter illnesses at CFT:

  • Washing hands before meals and after touching frequent contact surfaces such as bus railings, door knobs, and countertops.
  • Staying home with a cough, vomiting, diarrhea or other severe symptoms of illness.
  • Staying home until we are fever free without medication for 24 hours.

Our collective safety and wellness is a strong priority for all of us at CFT, and I know that working together, we will have a healthy winter.

Congrats to our top 3 jog-a-thon classes who earned their parties last Friday! We are looking forward to our all school slime assembly on November 18th! In your child’s Friday folder last week was a flyer for an opportunity to try a taekowondo studio in Tigard! They are beginning new classes weekly and if you mention CFT while signing up, PSO receives a portion of their registration! For more information, visit:

Today we are saying “thank you” to our wonderful CFT staff by filling the staff room with pies, ice cream and whip cream! We hope they know how much we all appreciate them! A BIG thank you to Bannings Restaurant & Pie House!
