Phalen Flyer
PLA@George H. Fisher School 93
Greetings PLA Families,
We've had an exciting week at PLA93!
Our STEM teacher, Mr. Cowley, taught scholars about planets, stars, constellations, and space inside the digitarium this week. Be sure to ask your scholars about it. Scholars in grades 2-6 had their second "spin the wheel" of the year on Thursday and Friday. We saw scholar assessment scores increase across all grade levels.
Fall pictures are on Monday! Your scholar may dress out of uniform if they are purchasing a picture package. Information was sent home on Tuesday of this week. You may still order pictures after Monday if you prefer.
Please note that if you signed up for Scouts, the start date has changed. Scouts will now begin their programming on Monday, October 24th. Fran Smith, the program director, will be reaching out to families that have already enrolled.
We are considering before & after school care options at PLA93. We want to hear from you! Use the link below to complete our survey.

Parent ESSER Survey
Parents, we need your help. PLA93 has received money from the federal government and we would appreciate your input as to how you would like this money spent. ESSER is a stimulus and emergency COVID relief funding stream authorized as part of the CRRSA Act enacted on December 27, 2020. This additional funding stream is intended to help states and school districts safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the nation’s students. We are working to hear the voice of our stakeholders when determining use of funds. The allocations are only designated for very specific areas. Please provide us your feedback no later than December 23, 2022 using the following link: https://www.phalenacademies.org/essersurvey
