A word from your principal
We are so excited to celebrate student literacy by having a book character parade on Monday, 10/31/2022. Students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite book characters. To participate students will need to bring their books. We ask that students refrain from wearing masks or bringing weapons. Parents are invited! We ask that you RSVP by using the QR code provided on the Book Character Parade Flyer. Parent seating will be in our school amphitheater.
If you are interested in learning more about dyslexia consider attending our Dyslexia Awareness night on Thursday, 10/20/2022, from 5-6 pm in our Library. The session will hosted by Mary LaFleur, our campus Reading Specialist.

Please remember, as stated in the NORTHSIDE ISD Elementary School Student-Parent Handbook 2022-2023, page A-1.
Perfect attendance will be awarded to students at the end of each 9-week grading period that have not exceeded one tardy or one partial day absence during the 9-week period that is not categorized as a documented appointment with a healthcare professional.
Perfect attendance may be awarded to students at the end of the year that have not been absent. In order to receive perfect attendance awards at the end of the year, students may have no more than 4 tardies or 4 partial day absences during the year that are not categorized as a documented appointment with a healthcare professional.
The new grading period begins on October 17 and end on December 16. Students will have a new opportunity to earn perfect attendance and be a part of the celebration that will take place at the end of the second grading period.
