Important Software Update
Apple has recently released a very important security update in their newest version of iPadOS - 14.8
Please check with your child to see if their iPad is up to date. We did push out the update to all district iPads, but some devices may not have updated overnight if they were not plugged in to power and connected to Wifi. We are strongly recommending that the update be completed as soon as possible.
To check for iPadOS updates, use the following steps (both district issued and BYO iPads):
Tap on the "Settings app" (gray gear)
Tap “General”
Tap “Software Update”
If there’s an update available, you will see information about the update, followed by an “Install Now” button.
please make sure the iPad is plugged into power, has at least 50% battery, and has 5 GB of free space, and then proceed with the update.
If you need to free up space on the iPad, deleting/removing photos/videos is often the best place to start.
If the iPad says “Your software is up to date,” then you’re all set.
Please complete these steps as soon as possible in order to maintain the best possible security on your iPad.
