Leaders of the Pack!

During the 2021-2022 school year, we are excited to celebrate our "Leaders of the Pack". These are students who were selected by their grade level peers as those who consistently show our PACK expectations as well as leadership skills. They have earned a certificate and a special t-shirt honoring them. We are so proud of our September Leaders of the Pack!

October Counselor Lessons

WOW! I can’t believe it is October already! Our October Counselor Lessons at Tiffany Ridge will be full of fun and prevention! October is National Bullying Prevention Month. All students will learn the difference between bullying, being mean and conflict. They will also learn about how using empathy and kindness can create a better community. The second counselor lesson for the month will focus on how each of us is unique and special, and how we can respect each other’s differences. Students will be adding to our TR Kindness Tree and creating a school wide bulletin board just outside of the School Counselor’s office that will be on display during parent-teacher conferences.

Pumpkin Book Characters!

It is October and that means pumpkins are everywhere! If you would like to participate in an optional Pumpkin Book Character Activity and maybe even win a prize here is what you will need to do:

  • Choose your favorite book character and a small or medium pumpkin
  • Decorate the pumpkin to look like your favorite book character.

You can decorate it any way you like, paint it, glue things onto it, add any fun details you would like.

Please just don’t carve the pumpkin as they will be on display for a couple weeks, and we do not want them rotting!

Pumpkins can be turned in anytime, just bring them to the library. This project is voluntary but can be a lot of family fun. Check Google and Pinterest for inspiration. Pumpkins will be on display in the library and sent home on Friday October 29th. We cannot wait to see your fabulous creations.

Please include a piece of paper with your pumpkin that includes your name, teacher and the name of your pumpkin character. All participants will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift certificate to the upcoming book fair. Any questions please email Mrs. Barr at barra@parkhill.k12.mo.us

Nominate a Staff Member for the Park Hill STAR Award

Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.

That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a Pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee. Anyone can nominate an employee for this award by using the form below. It asks you to share how your nominee demonstrates our district values of continuous improvement, high expectations, integrity, visionary leadership and student focus. You can also share how your nominee supports the goals in our district’s strategic plan.
