Job Description
We are recruiting ambitious and committed teachers with a good sense of humour who would like to work as part of a team of 12 staff members. We want our teachers to be engaging and enthusiastic, to ensure all of our students leave each lesson fully satisfied and with a smile on their face.
Teachers will be required to work between 24-26 hours per week, predominantly from Monday-Thursday with reduced hours on Friday. Teachers will work with students of all ages, ranging from children to adults, although there can be some flexibility depending on your preferences and experience. Classes are restricted to a maximum of 12 students, with a focus on improving the student’s speaking ability. We use the Communicative Approach while some adult groups are taught via the Direct Method. In addition to contracted hours, additional classes, tutorials and individual exam preparation classes are available for those who wish to increase their hours.
Apart from a supportive and lively work environment, we offer an excellent salary which guarantees a high standard of living in the area. We also provide assistance in finding suitable accommodation in Valdepeñas where all new teachers will be based, as well as helping you to settle in. The contract will commence on 1st October 2015 and run until 30th June 2016, with work also available in July if desired. There are paid-holidays at Christmas and Easter, as well as a number of local holidays throughout the academic year.
This position is ideal for those who are willing to grow as teachers, and always willing to give their best shot. Valdepeñas while not being a major city, is a lively town with shops, restaurants and bars, and offers a sample of real life in Spain. The town has good transport links, it is situated just two hours south of Madrid and offers easy access to Granada and Cordoba.
