We Are Remarkable!

Black and Blue Food Drvie

What a great job you are doing! We had an amazing amount of ramen noodles this week. Our winning class is Mrs. Ceballos's class with 572 boxes of ramen noodles! We have one last week to bring in canned food to help us win and reach our goal of 7,000 items! We will have one more Ramen Noodle Day on September 30!

Don't forget that students who bring in 25 items at one time, on any day, will be given a spirit stick! Grade levels are in a competition as well to see which grade level brings in the most items by the end! Right now, PK/K is in the lead. The contest will end this next week.

Thank you for helping with this fun competition and working towards the end result to help families in our area. The Food Drive goes through October 2.

SchoolStore

SchoolStore.Com is an easy way to help support Meadow Creek. SchoolStore.com works with on-line sites to give back a percentage to schools. Many people shop on-line at a variety of sites and by using SchoolStore.com, a percentage of the sale is returned to the school. SchoolStore.com also has ways to give back to your child's teacher. Gift cards can be given to teachers to purchase materials for their classrooms. Information about the SchoolStore was sent home this week. The opportunity to shop through SchoolStore continues all year long!

Student Led Conference Day

Wednesday, October 7 will be our Student Led Conference Day. It is not a regular school day but students and parents have a scheduled time to come to school for the students to lead a discussion about their goals, their plans and their progress. If you have not yet scheduled a time with your child's teacher, please contact them so a time can be set aside for you and your child. Thank you for helping support and encourage your child to be responsible for their learning this year!

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week will be October 26-October 30. Our Red Ribbon Student Committee has decided to sponsor a poster contest this year. Be sure to look at the Friday Flyer email to see the rules and deadline!

End of the First Six Weeks

Friday is the end of our first six weeks grading period for the 2015-2016 school year. Our students have worked very hard and they should be proud of their efforts. Report cards will be sent home on Thursday, October 8.

Report cards will come home in a brown envelope. Please sign the envelope, return it to your child's teacher and keep the report card for your records.
