September 2019-AMCMS PTO
A Message from Mr. Espitia
Dear Bobcat Parents & Guardians,
Welcome Back! I cannot believe that we are already two and half weeks into the school year. We have had a phenomenal first few weeks! Our Bobcats have settled in very nicely and we are proud of how well they are doing. We really enjoyed having everyone out for Open House this past week and it was great to show off the makeover our campus hallways and common areas had over the summer. I can tell that our Bobcats love the new look as well. Just a quick reminder that parents need to utilize the parent pick up and drop off line on the Anderson St. side of campus. We have had a lot of students getting picked up in the parking lot or even worse on the street. This is very dangerous and we ask that parents refrain from picking up students in this manner. I would also like to invite you to come out next week for our first Pep rally of the year on September 10th at 3 p.m. in the main gym. Please be sure to check in with the front office. We are looking forward to watching all of our Bobcats cheer on our organizations and teams. Finally coming up this week you may here from your student that they are taking a MAP test. This is an amazing new tool that the district is utilizing to better increase our student's academic achievement. Please refer to the link for more information.

Volunteering at AMCMS
We'd love to have your help at AMCMS! Whether it is bringing an item to share at a teacher appreciation event, volunteering a shift during book fair or assisting staff, AMCMS needs you! Volunteer opportunities will be communicated via remind, the PTO Facebook page, Schoology and by email.
Register with CSISD to be a volunteer here if you'd like to help at the school during school hours. This online form is needed every year but qualifies you to volunteer at any campus.
Are you ready for some football?
S is for Schoology
Have you used Schoology yet?
Schoology works great as an app or on a desktop. Parents can check often, get notification or customize how often they would like a summary of info by email.
Campuses, teachers and students have already begun to utilize Schoology to share information and be organized this year.
Learn more about Schoology at under "Be Informed" on the Parent's Info tab at CSISD.org's website
Did you know that AMCMS has a food pantry?
Consolidated Action Through Service
Our pantry is run by school personnel in partnership with the Brazos Valley Food Bank to provide food to AMCMS Students whose families are facing hunger and food insecurity. Our pantry relies solely on the generosity of others.
AMCMS provides weekend packs to students. A weekend pack contains enough food for two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners for one student. All food in the packs are ready to eat.
Food donations are not able to be accepted. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
Alternatively, you may give to specific amounts to sponsor specific numbers of packs.
For ex. $28 sponsors one student a month (4 weekend packs)
$140 sponsors one student for a semester (20 weekend packs)
$700 sponsors the entire school for one month (4 weeks of 25 packs)
$7,000 sponsors the entire school for the entire year (25 packs for 40 weeks)
If you would like to help, please send donations to AMCMS Food Panry, C/O Tori Hunter, 105 Holik Drive, College Station, TX 77840. Checks can be made payable to A&M Consolidated Middle School with "food pantry" noted in the memo line.
If you know of anyone who may need assistance, please contact the AMCMS front office and ask for Tori Hunter.
