Online Interim Assessments
The week of March 8-12, 2021, Duncanville High School will be administering the State of Texas Online Interim Assessment, also know as OIA. DHS will be giving the OIA to all scholars currently enrolled in Biology, Algebra I, and US History.
Although the OIA is in an online format, it is must be taken in person at DHS. Virtual scholars are encouraged to come to campus to test. The Online Interim Assessment is a tool used to measure academic learning, identify learning gaps and guide the creation of interventions to bolster scholar success on the upcoming STAAR EOC Exams.
To ensure we are prepared for all scholars choosing to participate in the Online Interim Assessments, we required virtual scholars to register by Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 11:59 pm. After Friday, March 5, 2021, no additional testers were added to the test administration.
Additional information and test day procedures will be sent to all who elect to test by Tuesday, March 9, 2021. For all virtual scholars who elect not to come to campus to test, they will continue with their normal classroom schedule and mode of instruction.

TSI Boot Camps and Tests
Collegiate Academy strives to ensure all scholars are successful in their academics. To ensure all scholars are successful on the TSI Reading and Writing, we have scheduled boot camps for scholars to gain strategies for the assessment. There are two steps scholars need to complete.
Step One
Schedule a Reading and Writing boot camp using the Sign Up Genius. Reading and writing boot camps are held in two parts. Scholars will sign up for Tuesday and will also attend on the following Wednesday. Scholars must attend both sessions in order to test.
Step Two
Schedule a corresponding TSI test following the boot camp the scholar signed up for using the separate Sign Up Genius. The TSI test changed in January 2021. Scholars that were not TSI met before January 2021 will have to take the combined reading and writing test on their sign up day.
Boot camp attendance is mandatory.
Please contact us at dhscollegiate@duncanvilleisd.org if you have any questions.
Scholar Self-Reporting Form
Skyward
Parents,
Please partner with us to ensure scholars are logging in at the appropriate time and completing all assignments in their high school and college courses. Teachers have communicated their distance learning expectations for scholars. Scholars will have at least two assignments per week in each class. Please support us in checking your scholar's grades in Skyward Family Access and eCampus ensuring they are completing their assignments by the established deadlines.Spotlight
