LUNCH AND LEARN: LIB-SIG: TEAM UP WITH TEXQUEST

Join Richelle as she shows you five ways TexQuest resources enhance collaboration and make instruction more meaningful.
Lunch and Learn: LIB-SIG: Building Inquiry Tools to Support Classroom Research
This webinar will focus on several digital tools to help librarians facilitate student inquiry and research. Librarians will learn how to create online spaces where students can easily access different information sources, annotate and take notes online, cite web sources, and use YouTube to create video helpers.
Lunch and Learn: LIB-SIG: Design Thinking in the Library
Looking for ways to take your makerspace activities to the next level? Interested in methods which allow you to embed content standards in your maker-based instruction? Design thinking is one such tool that takes your K-12 students further into the role of creator through an iterative process promoting critical thinking, questioning, collaboration, and empathy. This webinar will share the design thinking process with participants, as well as provide examples of it in action.
Lunch and Learn: LIB-SIG: Making + Literacy
Some fear that by adding a makerspace to their library, they will be taking away from literacy programs. However, STEM education and makerspaces can actually add new dimensions of literacy to your library. This session will describe many ways that makerspaces can support literacy in the library and will also lead participants through several maker projects, articulating the types of literacy addressed in each project.
