Just one more week until Spring Break and April will be here before you know it. I am excited for our Stoller 5k. This is a fun community event for all. If you haven't already registered please visit Stoller5k.com. The race is capped at 900 participants, so don't wait to secure your spot. I know the 6th graders will have just returned from Outdoor School and we are trying to think of a way to ensure that they feel encouraged to come out and join us that Sunday morning for the 5k.
Please come join me for my "Principal Chat" Wednesday, the 20th at 8:30am in the Community Room. Hope to see you there.
Enjoy the weather this weekend!

Stoller Book Drive
Stoller is holding its 5th Annual Book Drive! Students can bring in new or gently used children's books for ages from infant through middle school. These books will be donated to the Children's Book Bank of Portland, who distribute the books to children in need. Last year Stoller donated over 900 books-let's see if we can top 1000 this year! The books can be dropped off in the Library, and teachers will have collection bags in their classrooms. The drive will go through Wednesday, March 20th.
AVID at Stoller
Last Reminder...
Did you know anyone can apply to be in the AVID elective class at Stoller? Students might love AVID if they are motivated to work hard in school, always try their best, and dream of going to college and succeeding. The purpose of AVID is to help support students while doing all that!
Some cool things students do in Stoller’s AVID program are visit colleges, go on field trips, and build friendships with students from all different neighborhoods; as well as working on reading, writing, speaking, studying, and leadership skills.
Applications are now available in the main office for next year's classes. Applications are due soon-- MARCH 22nd, right before spring break!
