Fire Drill Reminders

We will have a series of fire drills in the coming weeks in order to meet the fire drill practice requirements. Here are a few reminders to think about in order to make everything as quick and smooth as possible:

  • Make sure that an adult from each classroom takes the orange backpack from your room outside.
  • Each backpack should have the emergency signaling card (paper with green rectangle, red rectangle, and first aid rectangle) inside of the front pocket. Once you are outside, please use the card to signal that all children are accounted(or not accounted) for.
  • Children should go downstairs in pairs in order to make things move more quickly. If possible, one adult should be at the front of the line and one should be at the back.
  • Classes should practice being silent in the hallways and quiet once they are outside so that they are ready for any further directions.
