Important Zoom Setting Changes

USD is making a security change to Zoom which will effectively change how your student signs into Zoom. The change will be implemented to enhance the security of those joining class meetings by prohibiting access to outside parties. This will go into effect on 10/16/2020 so please make sure your student is prepared to log-in correctly on 10/20/2020 when they return from the long weekend. Tuesday's zoom will require each student to be logged into their USD Zoom account via SSO before they can join. If you or your student needs help signing in please review the following links:

Halloween Happenings

Principal's Pumpkin Challenge

Halloween might look a little different in 2020, but the fun of pumpkin carving and decorating is still a must-do so I've made it my principal's challenge for this month. This will be a fun family project that will run for two weeks, October 19th-31st. Be as creative as you can imagine. I can't wait to see what the students come up with. Pumpkin pictures can be uploaded here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/RwrhsbGbmss65Yoz9 (please upload photos by 5 pm November 1st)

Also, don't forget October 23rd is Spirit Day (dress as your favorite character). I would love to highlight all the students in their costumes by making a virtual parade. Costume character pictures can be shared here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/RwrhsbGbmss65Yoz9

Oster's Distance Learning Support Center

If you are interested in having your student attend the Oster Distance Learning Support Center, please read through our Information Packet linked here and the information below for specifics and requirements. After reading through the terms and agreements you are still interested in having your child(ren) attend, please fill out the google form linked here.

Learning cohorts are currently full but we are accepting students for our waitlist. If we have enough interest we can possibly open a 4th cohort.

Wednesday's Club and Activities

Oster's game club will meet once a week on Wednesdays from 12:30-1:30 pm (registration is required). The purpose is for our students to interact, play, laugh, and engage in structured activities with other students from Oster. It’s a great chance to get outside and socialize with other kids!

The game club will be held on Oct. 21, Oct. 28, and Nov. 4.

Parents will need to check their kids in at 12:30 and pick them up between 1:25-1:30 pm.
