Inventor's Fair
May 17th 2016
Pre-K-1st
PK-1: Teacher guided class project to be completed at school as a class. Begin with a problem and come up with a solution as a group. Be sure to document as you go to make some sort of a display for our parent night. This is an opportunity to celebrate our student’s great ideas and look at problem solving through the eyes of a 5-6 year old!
2nd-5th
2nd- 5th: Student initiated and majority completed at school. Project can be individual or in groups (teacher discretion.) Begin with a problem and come up with a solution/invention prototype as a group. Be sure to document as you go to make some sort of a display with your invention prototype for our parent night. This could be an opportunity for students to use technology to create commercials for their inventions! Each grade level can decide how this project could fit into what they are teaching. There are not a lot of rules so students have a lot of room to create. Teachers can create their own accountability for each student during the project as they see fit for their classroom.
· All projects are due May 16th by 3:00
· Projects will be displayed on May 17th for our Open House
· We will get judges for the projects turned in by our 2nd-5th Graders
· This is meant to ignite the inner innovator in our students! Have fun!
