Diversity Speaker Series presents "Changing The Way We See Native America" by Matika Wilbur

Join us Matika Wilbur's presentation of "Changing the Way we see Native Americans."
Matika Wilbur (Swinomish and Tulalip) is one of the nation’s leading photographers, based in the Pacific Northwest. She earned her BFA from Brooks Institute of Photography where she double majored in Advertising and Digital Imaging. Her current endeavor, Project 562, has brought Matika to over 400 tribal nations dispersed throughout 45 U.S. states where she has taken thousands of portraits, and collected hundreds of contemporary narratives from the breadth of Indian Country all in the pursuit of one goal: To Change The Way We See Native America.

This year's MLK Day of Service is January 21st, from 8:00am-12:30pm. Volunteers get a free T-shirt!
A schedule of events is as follows:
8:00-8:30am - Check in and welcome kick off.
8:30am-9:00am - Volunteers drive to service sites *volunteers are responsible for their own transportation*
9:00am-12:00pm - Volunteers will be on site during these hours
