New Shout Outs
- Ms. Metzelaar has gone above and beyond to support my daughter both in and outside of class and her energy and enthusiasm in the classroom are so impressive. She is so dedicated and it means so much to know that my daughter has a teacher who not only cares about her academically but also about who she is as a person. Thank you, Ms. Metzelaar!
- Thank you for your efforts and communication the last 3 years with this. You and your staff are first class!
- Thank you for your well-written email about how Millburn will be handling the situation! I sincerely appreciate the “student first” approach, as I’ve heard from parents in surrounding districts how difficult it’s been for some kids and the bullying that’s taken place or the staff having to take on the role of more of a prison guard :/. It’s very sad and should never be the job of a teacher or educator to have to put students in that position, or be in it themselves. Thank you for prioritizing the need for discussing this change with them and being an open forum for them to express their feelings.
We appreciate the way MES is planning to handle the difficulties this most recent Covid milestone has brought. As I’m sure there’ll be hurdles as we go, thank you again for doing the best you can during the circumstances.
I just wanted to reach out and say thank you so much for all you and the school have been doing, especially regarding this mask situation. The communication, positivity, and understanding have been phenomenal and we truly appreciate it! Have a great night.
Thank you so much for updating the parents. I’m sure today (Wednesday) was a different day for all. Just want to let you know how much we appreciate you and how grateful we are for you and all the other teachers who have had to navigate teaching in the past two years. Thank you for all you do!
I wanted to take a moment and tell you how proud I am of Millburn and the wonderful staff to begin the day off today (Wednesday) dedicating time to easing fears and having open conversations about the mask change. The steps that you and the staff took to ease anxiety, show the students that they matter, and that it is ok to have differing opinions, shows just how wrong those statements are. The dedication that Millburn as a district has shown over the past two years to keep our children, happy, safe and learning shows just how much the district staff cares. This situation will come to pass and we will all look back on this and think wow, remember when but for now all I can say is how fortunate I am to be part of the Millburn family.
