Reminders from Mrs. Thompson!

Yearbook, Virtual Talent Show, 5th Gr. Drive Through & more

Thank you, Parents, for your dedication and hard work!

Hello Eagle Parents,

First of all, thank you for everything you have done and all that you have sacrificed for the sake of your child's/children's learning throughout this entire Covid19 experience. We know the struggles are real, but the grit you have shown and the positive outlook we have maintained as Ethridge Eagles has made all the difference in the world to the success of LISD's At Home Learning plan for our families.

In this last week of assignments, PLEASE ...PLEASE... get all required assignments turned in!! Next week is just celebrating in a Webex with the teacher's class.

We are on the downhill slide to summer. What does that even mean at this point? Well, the stress and strain of At Home official learning and deadlines will not be there, so that will bring some relief I hope. Perhaps you can relax for a bit and just enjoy some family time.

I do want to encourage you, though, as your child's teacher connects with you via email, phone or Webex to give you their year end recommendations for summer practice, to please consider helping your child maintain their academic skills until we return to school. This has always been our recommendation and will be more important now more than ever.

There will be one last newsletter next week, so stay tuned to see the REVEAL of our Ethridge 2020-21 Theme!

A Message or 3 from Coach!

Please email Coach pics of your home workouts and especially pics of your Homemade Field Day so we can share them with the Ethridge Community.

For those of you needing ideas for your Homemade Field Day here is a link to some suggestions:

If your child has already completed a Homemade Field Day and / or is staying physically active, here is a link to our P.E. SUPERSTAR Ribbons:

When we get back to school we can trade them in for the real deal.

Regarding P.E. grades:

Here are a couple of links for April Fitness Check in and May Fitness Check In:

Please take a couple of minutes to respond to the April Fitness Check In if you haven’t already and respond to the May Fitness Check In by May 18th. That’s it for grades. No pics or videos mandatory. Pics/videos are for us to share with our Ethridge community.

Also, here is our May Fitness Calendar. Do with it what you will. We just wanted to give folks some ideas they could use to supplement their homemade PE. It is optional. The main thing is that our students are staying as active as possible and making some healthy choices along the way.
