*Neither TEA nor College Board requires a certification for teaching an AP course. College Board does recommend teachers attend summer institutes.
How do my students get AP credit?
*In order for students to have AP on their transcripts, the course syllabus must be approved by College Board. The College Board website offers sample syllabi. Approximately 70% of submitted syllabi are approved on the first reading.
How can I be reimbursed for a summer institute?
*Teachers/Districts may be reimbursed up to $450 every other year for attending a summer institute. For more information on this, click here.
