Lincoln Instructional Technology
Weekly Update 12/4/15
Important Updates
- We got a batch of repaired Chromebooks Thursday, which should help buffer the long repair time we are facing.
- The "Students Involved with Technology" (SIT) Conference registration is open. This is a conference for students by students. Consider having them present innovative projects they are doing in your classes!
- The NICE MiniConference is on January 30th! This is a smaller, half day conference that is held at Niles North High School. There are great instructional technology presentations and resources. If you would like assistance in entering this into Skyward, please let me know!
Timer
Need a timer for center-based or independent activities? Search "Timer" in Google to pull up a ready-to-use timer. Another favorite is Online-Stopwatch.
Google Chat
Need to send a quick question or message to a colleague? Try using Google Hangouts (Chat).
Twitter Chats
Scheduled Twitter Chats are an awesome way to collaborate with other educators. Here is a fantastic collection of scheduled chats. If you want to try one, or learn more about Twitter in education, please let me know!
