Stakeholder and Community Involvement in our Schools
Come Meet With Us!
Parents are using different perspectives to work together to solve problems.
Stakeholders are waiting for steaks to come off the grill! As they wait, they are working together for ideas for fundraisers.
Each quarter, Somewhere Elementary hosts Math Night. Stakeholders visit to help with problems parents are having with their children's understanding. This offers a great time for expertise among parents to be shared and for children to see learning happen at different ages.
So, what's your "stake"?
There are internal stakeholders who work within the system and largely control what goes on there. School faculty and staff, district staff, and school boards are included among these.
External stakeholders are comprised of those community members who work outside of the school yet hold a strong interest in results and outcomes.
Our mission is to empower all students for the choices and challenges of the twenty-first century. We believe that we should teach students to respect themselves, others, and the environment, that we should teach students to participate productively and responsibly in a rapidly changing society, that we should teach them to communicate effectively, that we should teach them to use cooperative and independent learning strategies, that we should teach them to apply problem solving processes, and that we should teach them to set and meet high standards.
