A Message From Dr. Ricks

Dear Parents and Friends,

Happy May! Last night, our 4th graders celebrated one of our greatest GES traditions, The Medieval Feast. Six long weeks of building castles, learning dances, and writing research reports culminated in a magnificent event in Kilbourn which was transformed into a Medieval dining hall. Many thanks to Mrs. Riley and Mrs. Dillard for planning this wonderful learning experience and to all of the parents who volunteered their time to put the event together.

Congratulations to our students who represented Grace at the State Social Studies Fair. We had several students and parents travel to Lake Charles to compete and three students placed: Allison LaNasa- 3rd political science, Caroline Graham- 3rd economics, and Jadon Roy- 3rd sociology. Others participants included Grace Pettis, Hudson Norman, Jason Roy, and Brady Puckett.

Today, our 5th grade held a bake sale and collected donations to support next year's 8th grade class trip. This is one of several events that marks the final days of school. Watch the calendar for other important happenings--5th Grade Walk, 7th Grade Pinning Ceremony, Final Awards Assembly, Graduations, and Final Exams.

It was nice to see so many of you at our Spring Book Fair buying summer reading titles. Thank you for supporting your children as we wind down another fantastic Gator year!

Warmly,

Dr. Beth J. Ricks

Head of School
