Attention All ‘DADS’ of Sheiko Elementary Students! ‘Dads Pizza Night' Event! FREE Pizza, Drinks and Fun!
Fathers and Father-figures,
On Thursday, May 9 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm, we will be having our 1st annual ‘Dads Pizza Night' at our school. You will meet here at the school cafeteria at 7:00 pm for FREE pizza and drinks. At 7:30 we will have a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) Program. WATCH D.O.G.S.® is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student’s life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.
Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers . . . this is your chance to have a night out alone with your student in a fun atmosphere at school.
In order to participate, you need to do two things:
1. Fill out the bottom portion of this slip and return it with your student (ASAP) saying that you will attend the pizza night so we’ll have an accurate head count for the food.
2. Mark your calendars, and we’ll see you Thursday, May 9 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.
Sincerely,
Joe and Ranae Seestadt, Sheiko Elementary PTO

Greater Retention and Achievement through Summer Practice (GRASP 2019)
The GRASP program consists of nine weekly modules to help students maintain or improve their math and reading skills over the summer. It is designed for students who have completed Kindergarten to 8th grade. Students work at their own pace. The modules focus on key academic skills and can be done even on a family vacation. For more information contact the office for a flier. The cost is $75 for one subject or $100 for two subjects.
To further improve the quality of our school, we are asking for volunteers to participate in our Spring Popcornopolis Fundraiser. Popcorn from Popcornopolis is an inexpensive, yet quality product which allows a school to maintain 50% of the profits achieved through the combined efforts of their school community. To attain the high results we are capable of, we are asking that each student attempt to sell at least $50 worth of popcorn. With the average cost of the popcorn being $7 per cone, we feel we can attain this goal. Extra forms are available in the office. Please note, we understand fundraising is done on a voluntary basis . We appreciate what help you can offer to make Sheiko shine!

Basketball or athletic jerseys must be worn with a t-shirt underneath.
