Adding the Activity Feed
In Brightspace by D2L
Why use the "Activity Feed"?
Help to keep students engaged in your Blended or eLearning course by adding the "Activity Feed" widget to your homepage. This familiar (social media style) interface is a great way to enrich communication because the teacher can share information and provide direct access to activities which are easily accessed by students. Additionally, everyone in the class can add comments and build upon the interactions creating a faster way to enable two way conversations which can increase positive workflow for all.
Alternatively, teachers may choose to use the Activity feed as a place for students to post questions about the course. This way questions and responses can be viewed by the class improving workflow for both teachers and students. It becomes a collaborative space for participants to share and clarify questions about the content, Brightspace tools, assignments and to problem solve which is great for further development of Global Competencies such as Collaboration, Communication, Global Citizenship and Critical Thinking / Problem Solving.
