5th Grade Choir Update

Hello Corron families! There has been a change of events regarding our 2022-2023 Choir. My name is Alexa Molidor and I am a General Music teacher at Lincoln, Corron, and Wild Rose. Corron will now have its own stand alone choir and will no longer be combined with Ferson Creek. I am very excited to be directing Corron’s choir this year! Please see the letter attached below and click the link included to register. I hope to see many wonderful faces in choir this year!

Kick-A-Thon Fundraiser

This is the 28th annual Kick a Thon. We have raised over 1 million dollars to date. We are so excited this year to raise money for Fox Valley Food for Health, The Colette A Miles Foundation and The Justin Hardy Foundation. Please visit this link https://store.d303.org/#!/products/BP7DCLHV5V to make a donation today!

This year the proceeds will benefit three charities:

Collette's Crew - The Colette A. Miles Foundation also known as Colette’s Crew offers individual support, volunteer programs, annual events, and corporate sponsorship’s to benefit and impact the lives of cancer patients and families. Our mission is to inspire and provide many avenues for individuals and businesses in the community to get involved and make an impact on others’ lives. Through The Colette A. Miles Foundation programs, events and financial support channels, patients and their families receive the comfort, support and courage to fight the battle.

You are Stronger #HardyStrong - Justin Hardy is a 2018 grad of St. Charles East High School and a early graduate of Wash U in St. Louis. Justin was a major force behind more than 70 wins while he was at St. Charles East. He was a starter for nationally ranked Wash U. In April of 2021 Justin was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer. Justin decided to attack this diagnosis like he would attack a defender on the court. The scholarship fund is for future student athletes who display the grit, determination and will that Justin has clearly demonstrated through these difficult times.

Fox Valley Food for Health - Fox Valley Food for Health promotes a nutrition focused community by educating teens and serving those struggling with a health crisis. They strive to keep the community educated, empowered, connected and nourished by providing an environment that is physically, socially, vocationally, intellectually and emotionally nurturing and empowering through nutritious food.

Veterans Day 2022

Veterans Day Celebration--On Friday, November 11th, starting at 1:30 p.m. Corron Elementary School will host a Veterans Day assembly to celebrate those individuals who have given so much for the freedom we enjoy. Our 5th grade students will lead our assembly to honor the veterans within our Corron community.

We need your help at home to prepare for this observance:

1. We would like to honor our veteran family members who have served, or are serving, in the armed forces. We will be creating a video slideshow of photos of our community veterans. We encourage you to email 1 digital picture of your veteran(s) to our LRC assistant: Karen.McVicar@d303.org. Please include what branch of service they were in and their relationship to our Corron student(s). Digital photos of veterans must be submitted by Friday, November 4th. (Please note: This is the absolute last day we can accept pictures. No last-minute pictures will be accepted this year.)

If you submitted a picture last year, and would like us to use it again this year, please email Mrs. McVicar to let her know.

2. If your Corron veteran is able to attend our assembly on Friday, November 11th at 1:30 p.m., please notify the office at 331-228-6900. We would like to send them an invitation and be prepared to recognize and honor them appropriately!

Thank you for supporting us in showing appreciation for those who have given so much for our freedom.
