BRIDGE VALLEY'S NEWSLETTER
September 1, 2020
WELCOME TRAILBLAZERS
BV Families,
On behalf of the entire Bridge Valley staff, we would like to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year. Even in an all virtual return, we are anxiously anticipating September 8th when we can be reconnected with students.
Obviously, this summer has been like no other. We continue to adjust to the COVID-19 restrictions that have been set, which has made school planning extremely challenging, as things seem to change very quickly, sometimes daily. We still press forward, and our staff is prepared to serve our students and community to the best of our ability.
In the way of a preview, we would like to share that our building goals for 20-21 include…
Address social and emotional wellness particularly during these times of stress, change, isolation, and uncertainty
Provide equity and equality for all students
Assess, instruct, and support students as learners return with various needs and at differing levels
Over the next two weeks, you may feel a bit overwhelmed by the amount of information being shared by the district, me, and teachers. We will try to keep communications as concise and clear as possible. We will also reiterate the most critical points so you don't feel that you need to commit every message to memory. I ask you to be patient with us, our children, and yourself. We are launching a new way of doing things, and there will be challenges along the way. Our promise to you is that we'll address issues as efficiently as possible and we will not waiver in our commitment to provide your children the best learning experience possible no matter what the circumstances.
We look forward to seeing those faces through Microsoft Teams on Tuesday morning!
Respectfully,
Kevin Cochran

BV Team Readies Building
We are so appreciative of our office and custodial staff for the work they do all summer long.
Mr. Aungst, Mr. Stirzel, and our custodial team made repairs, cleaned our classrooms and halls, and implemented all the Covid-19 heath and safety plan procedures to ensure we maintain a safe school environment. Mrs. Virgulti and Mrs. Hunter spent many hours preparing schedules, organizing supplies, and welcoming many new Trailblazers to our school. Thank you to our wonderful school team!
