News from The 865 Academies
Technology and Innovation Day--Thursday, December 8
Our Technology and Innovation Day expose students to technological and innovative skills, applications, and post-secondary opportunities in STEM-related fields. Students will participate in three rotations: Hour of Code sponsored by Clayton Homes, Activities and Demonstrations, and College and Career discussions.
Our Activities and Demonstrations rotation is sponsored by NOAA (drones), PSCC (cybersecurity simulation), AMSE (large-scale 3D printed car), TN Army National Guard (satellite communication), Dell Technologies (art and animation), HVA Robotics (large-scale robot for competition), L&N Stem Academy (coding/robotic toys), and KHS Computer Science (robotic toys).
Our College and Career rotation allows students to engage in an in-depth discussion with an industry professional. The following colleges and employers will be represented: UTK Tickle College of Engineering, Pellissippi State Community College, PSCC Computer Information Technology, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Ardurra, Pilot Corporation, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Designs by Kristien (graphic design), Knoxville Entrepreneur Center, and JROTC (flight simulator).
We are so grateful to these community members who are investing in our students.
