Countdown to Commencement!!
Here we go! Let's just say, I am prepared and have already purchased my waterproof mascara for this week! Yes, it's partly because my baby is graduating. But, it's also because this is an awesome class! I fell in love with them many, many years ago and have never regretted that! As we embark on this week I am reminded of the mark that each of you have made on Wynnewood Public Schools throughout their time here! I can't wait to celebrate them this week!!
Senior Events This Week!
- Monday, May 15 - 10:00 am - Senior Awards Assembly in the WHS Auditorium
- Tuesday, May 16 - 9:30 am - Senior/Parent Breakfast and Senior/Pre-K Walk @ Central Elementary, Graduation Practice @ 1:00 pm and Senior Parade and Sunset Dinner @ 6:00 pm
- Wednesday, May 17 - 7:00 pm - Baccalaureate - WHS Auditorium
- Saturday, May 20 - 7:30 pm - GRADUATION! As of right now, it’s still scheduled for Savage Stadium. That could change depending upon the weather this week, we will make a decision early in the week! Stay tuned!
As one group is embarking on the start of their adult lives, another group is sliding into retirement! We hope that you can join us Thursday afternoon as we celebrate the impact that these four have had on Wynnewood Public Schools!
Semester Tests!
Semester Test Reminders:
- Any student that has been in ISS or suspended this semester, will take all semester tests.
- Students need to arrive at school for the class period of their first test and remain at school until they have taken their last test for the day. They can't come and go.
- If a student wants to take a semester test, they will be allowed to do so regardless of exemption status. Students who have met the exemption requirements and choose to take the test will not be negatively affected by a test score that is lower than their average in the class.
- School activity absences are the only absences that do not count in the total.
For a student to be exempt, they must meet the following criteria. Teachers will communicate with their students on Monday as to who is exempt and who is not. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Enrollment Packets
In closing out one school year, we are planning for the next! Your freshman, sophomore or junior should have received an enrollment packet last week. This will need to be completed or the on-line version, when it is available, before your student can begin school in August! If your child did not receive one, they should stop by the office to pick one up.
