Dear Parents,
On May 7, 2016, Plano ISD voters will decide on a $481 million bond proposal to fund initiatives recommended by the Plano ISD Facilities and Technology Force Task. "It has been eight years since the school board held a bond election. The 2008 bond program included $490 million for major projects and was initially planned to provide for capital needs through 2012." The new bond proposal will address the needs of our district as a whole and that of early childhood programs, which directly impact your child. Furthermore, the bond measure will result in a zero tax rate increase.
Attached is a link to learn more information about the bond proposal. Please consider supporting the district and our school by going out and voting in support of the bond measure on May 7th!
Thank you,
Amy Rodiles

What We Are Learning And Doing:
This week we extended our learning of farm animals through stories, music, and games. The children enjoyed playing with farm animals and learning about life on a farm with BIG and little animals! We began our week of learning by going on a farm animal hunt. The children divided into small groups to find the farmer's "lost" animals. They extended their learning of prepositional words by returning the animals to the farm, placing animals inside, beside, under, and above the barn. We also sorted farm animals by size, emphasizing that animals may be a mommy or a baby. We created sheep using cotton balls and counted them using one-to-one correspondence. They played in our classroom pretend farm center and stamped animals. Finally, the children got to make their very own butter with Ms. Referente's class! They had so much fun shaking the mixture, spreading it on crackers, and finally tasting it.
On Friday, the afternoon class got to go to the park during gross motor and snack time where we played and ate our snack with Ms. Referente's class.
It's been a fun-filled week!
