Ice Cream in a Can Recipe
2 cups half and half
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
Mix all ingredients. Pour approximately 1 cup of mixture into a small (1lbs) coffee can. Place small can into a large (3lbs) coffee can. Surround small can with ice and rock salt (we use water softener salt). Roll 10-15 minutes. You can also use quart and gallon size freezer bags and shake instead of rolling.

COOK-OUT:
We will be having a cook-out on Thursday, June 2nd (the last day of school) for our class. We are in need of a parent willing to bring a grill and cook hotdogs for us that day. I will be sending home a “Sign-up Genius” for items as we get closer. Please let me know if you are interested in attending so I can figure out food. Classroom Awards to be presented to students.
Bubble Ceremony
Talent Show
Dear Students and Parents,
We are happy to announce plans for the annual Ridge View Fourth Grade Talent Show. There will be two different shows; one on Wednesday May 25th and one on Thursday May 26th starting at 8:30 AM.
Participating children will be notified of their performance date by Monday, May 16. Fourth grade parents are welcome to attend.
We encourage a variety of talents including: singing, playing musical instruments, dancing, magic acts, comedy acts, etc. A piano and microphone will be available. If necessary recorded music can be provided by the school. We appreciate your efforts at ensuring the type of song, comedy act, and attire is age appropriate – the more “wholesome” the better. Students may participate in only one act. Performances should be limited to two to three minutes. If students go over a little, that will be okay. Thank you for your understanding with these requests.
Students will be practicing their performances with staff members at noon, or after school if attending Panther’s Den. A piano and microphone will be available. There will be a final run through on Monday or Tuesday (May 23rd or 24th). This will provide an opportunity for practice as well as a chance for us to make arrangements for equipment.
Ridge View students and staff are looking forward to this enjoyable event. Thank you for your cooperation.
