From Roman Grule to Churches Rule

Rome Is So Last Century

After nearly 300 years of struggle, Rome (western portion) finally ceased in 476 C.E. when Germanic leader, Odoacer, takes over. External and internal conflicts such as weak government, moral decay, and attacks by Huns and Germanic tribes are the fatal blows that cause Rome to collapse and the initiating events for the Middle Ages. Now their is chaos and strife due to the lack of authority, that was, until, a group of people realized they had enough influence to inflict change in society. This group was none other than the people of the church.
