Valentine's Celebration and Service Project
Wednesday February 14th
1:45 - 2:30
Your child may bring Valentine's to exchange. Your child needs a box or bag to collect the Valentine's cards they receive. Please have them bring their boxes beginning Monday February 12th.

Our Learning Targets
Writing: We can write complete simple and compound sentences with a comma in the correct spot for compound sentences.
Social Studies: We can identify the economic motivations and accomplishments of Moses Austin and Martin de Leon and explain their impact on the settlement of Texas.
Math: We can solve problems that deal with measurements of liquid volumes and mass using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division as appropriate. We can determine if two fractions are equivalent using a variety of strategies. We can compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators.
Science: We can measure, compare, and contrast physical properties of matter, including magnetism.

Calming down helps you handle put-downs and avoid making conflicts escalate.
Students will be able to:
- Identify strategies for handling put-downs
- Demonstrate what they’ve learned about strategies for calming down
- Demonstrate assertive responses to put-downs
