On the Trail - Mustang Families
Aug. 16-20
One Trail
It almost brought tears to our eyes to see sooooo many Mustangs on campus! It has been too long!
Our students and staff did an excellent job. The energy on campus was so positive and friendly and really exemplified our community and core values as we reunited as One Trail.
And, we even overcame yet another obstacle with the electricity going out for roughly an hour on Friday. Hey, it wouldn't be a Friday the 13th without something odd, right?
Seriously though, it was an amazing week and we even welcomed back our sports teams with our Football team scrimmaging on Friday night.
We are so grateful to have such a wonderful community with the most amazing students who came back and reminded us just how talented, inspirational and kind they are working with our staff, keeping each other safe and helping one another throughout these opening days.
It just reminds us how great it is to be at MT!
Just as a heads up, I will have to miss part of this week but it is time to move my second one off to college. Less tears if I don't talk about it much haha - I know some of you are in my same space with your own off to college too so you know what I mean. That said, if you need anything, please be sure to reach out to the rest of the admin team.
Let's keep up the same incredible energy and have a great week.
Go Mustangs!

Daily Procedures
Go to first period starting on Monday and be in your seat before the 8am bell.
- Being on time is vital in the work place and in your education.
- Please be on time daily to all periods. This shows respect for your education and for your teacher who has planned to get you the best instruction from bell to bell.
- Traffic is congested by 7:40 so plan to leave earlier if that has been an issue - don't worry we all need to do the same to be able to get to our work place on time. Campus opens at 7:30.
Thank you for being on time.
Some items that came up this week:
- Chromebooks - students should not be sent to pick them up during class. This will occur before school, at lunch and after school near the activities room under the patio. The location may change as less and less need them.
- Studentvue and student passwords - teachers will be able to help you get this worked out at your classes
- Parking for students in the North parking lot only (not at the front of school) - please be sure to get your free permit from the front office - there are plenty of spots by the stadium
- All meals are free -the front office will not be accepting food or money. There is no need since all meals are free for all students at this time.
- MTHS does not have early release days - we have late start Thursday so please refer to bell schedules
And don't forget, with studentvue you can email your teachers, counselors or others if you need help. And you can make an appointment for your counselor using the QR codes posted all around campus.
GATES and TRAFFIC
GATES:
We will open campus to students at 7:30 with admin or campus sups present at the specific gate (HN, HL, HH). These are the same gates for exit at 3:15.No visitors are allowed on campus at this time. They must be sent to the front office and we will help them there.
TRAFFIC
Yes, we have a traffic issue for sure. While it may calm down a little, both the middle school and MTHS are larger than ever before and there will be traffic. Our best advice to families and staff is to leave early enough to beat the traffic. It gets pretty bad around 7:35-7:40 so getting to campus prior to that (7:30) will help you out a lot.
Thank you!
