Mrs. Greene's 3rd Grade
January 25, 2019
A Short Week...
We packed a lot into such a short week!
We finished the READING NWEA test. We completed the first part of the Math NWEA test. We will take the second part of the math test on Monday, January 28. Once everyone is finished, the results will be sent home. I usually make a copy of the test results and put them in your child's Data Binder before the scores are emailed. Stay tuned...
I had several reading conferences this week where I encouraged students to really ramp up their reading stamina. I recommended new books to students, challenged a few students to finish books that they started but did not finish, and made sure students understand that this is the time I should see big growth in reading. Many students took me seriously and are working hard!
That's all I have for now...
Stay warm and safe this weekend!

Math: Unit 5 - Fractions
We will finish Unit 5 next week. The test over Unit 5 will be given on Tuesday, February 5.- We are still working hard on memorizing multiplication math facts. Using xtramath at home each night is still strongly encouraged. The students who are doing this are making great gains in all areas of math.
