Principal's Message
June 17, 2021
Hello Willink Families,
I'd like to wish you a Happy Fathers Day and Happy Juneteenth as we head into the long weekend. As a reminder, schools will be closed on Friday, June 18 in recognition of Juneteenth, an official public holiday in New York State.
To learn more about the history of Juneteenth, please follow this link. To read a recent NPR story about Congressional approval occurring to make this a national public holiday, please follow this link.
Next week is also a short week for our students with Tuesday as the final day of school. Monday will be the final in-person day for group 1 students and Tuesday the final in-person day for group 2 students. 8th grade families, we will send out details next week for the car parade but please plan on driving through between 3-4pm on Wednesday.
I want to thank our families again for navigating the unprecedented changes that this school year has presented. I'll plan to share a final newsletter next week but want to say again how proud I am of all of our students and staff for their efforts this year.
Take care,
Brian.
