Applicants may write on any topic. Entries must be at least 500 words long to be considered. We are offering high school seniors the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship. This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. We ask that you have interested students visit our website, to find eligibility information along with the online application. The scholarship will be on the right side of the page and click on it. The deadline is June 1, 2017.

"Aspiring Business Professional" Scholarship

This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing a business degree at any accredited post-secondary school or college. Interested students can visit this link and find the scholarship located at the right side of the page and click on it.

Got a Spine Scholarship- $500

To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:

  • Be attending college or university no later than October 2016
  • Be on a full time basis during college
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale during their last academic year

Global Lift Equipment Scholarship- $500

2017 Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship

The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcome adversity, and strength of character; have financial need; and are committed to pursue a career or technical certificate/degree.


  • Complete High School by Spring 2017 and attend a non-profit secondary institution by Fall 2017
  • Exhibit strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program
  • Demonstrate critical financial need (must be eligible to receive Pell Grant by completion of FAFSA)

BigSun Scholarship

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Their participation may be in any capacity, whether as a player, coach or official.

Nursing Schools Almanac Scholarship

Nursing Schools Almanac has just launched its third annual Aspiring Nurse Scholarship. Our website will award a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates:

+ A track record of academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics
+ A passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of healthcare

This scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN / LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. Scholarship applications will be accepted until midnight on June 30, 2017.

Houzz Scholarship Program

Kids' Chance of South Carolina Inc. provides scholarships to children of SC workers who have been seriously injured or killed in a work-related accident. To be eligible for a scholarship grant, applicants must have a parent who has been killed or seriously injured as a result of a work related accident that meets the criteria of the SC Worker's Compensation ACT.
