AIRPORT HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP 2016-2017

An equal number of $750 scholarships to be awarded for four-year schools and two-year

schools based on the number of applicants.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

1. Complete scholarship application. Incomplete application will not be considered.

2. Attach a 250 word typed personal statement: My Career Goals and How Will This Scholarship Help Me Achieve These Goals

3. Attach a Resume, indicating extra-curricular activities, part-time jobs and church/community service.

4. Attach a copy of your parents 1040 Income tax form for 2016 ( just the first two pages)

5. Have a teacher complete the attached teacher evaluation form.

6. Completed application and attachments due to the Guidance by Thursday, April 20, 2017.

AHS Richard Cribb Memorial Scholarship

One $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who meets the following criteria:

ü Be a CATE completer, a student who has taken four (4) occupational credits within the same career path

ü Be of good character.

Application Process:

1. Complete scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

2. Attach a 250-word personal statement about how your CATE courses will help you in your career goals and future plans

3. Attach a resume, indicating occupational courses, extra-curricular activities, part-times jobs, and church/community service.

4. Have your vocational teacher complete the attached teacher evaluation form.

5. Attach a copy of your parent’s 10040 income tax forms (pages 1 and 2) for 2016.

6. Completed application, personal statement and recommendations due to Guidance no later than Thursday, April 20, 2017..

AHS Johnny Bowen Memorial Scholarship

One $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who meets the following criteria:

ü Have at least a 2.8 GPA

ü Be active in extracurricular activities and/or athletics

ü A supporter of AHS and other AHS students

ü Be of good character.

Application Process:

1. Complete scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

2. Attach a 250-word personal statement about your years at AHS and how you will use what you learned and/or participated in to reach your career goals.

3. Attach two recommendations from teachers, administrators, and/or coaches.

4. Completed application, personal statement and recommendations due to Guidance no later than Thursday, April 20, 2017.

AHS Justin Hooks Memorial JROTC Scholarship

One $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a senior with at least two years (including senior year) of JROTC.

Application Process:

1. Complete scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

2. Attach a 250-word personal statement about how you feel JROTC has prepared you for life’s challenges.

3. Attach two recommendations from outside the JROTC program. At least one of the recommendations should be from and AHS teacher/administrator

4. Completed application, personal statement and recommendations due to Guidance no later than Thursday, April 20, 2017.

Sigma Gamma Rho Scholarship

Scholarship Purpose

The scholarship has been established by the Beta Epsilon Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. to recognize and support outstanding high school students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree as well as current enrolled undergraduate students. The program provides $500.00 scholarships to students to help assist with college expenses.



Applicant Eligibility Criteria

  • Current high school seniors who are anticipating completion of a high school diploma at the time of application.

  • Must have proof of acceptance and full time enrollment at an accredited U.S. undergraduate program in the metropolitan area for Fall.

  • Currently enrolled as a full time undergraduate student at the time of application.

  • Carrying a minimum 2.5 GPA at the time of application (High School Student).

  • Carrying a minimum 3.0 GPA at the time of application (College undergraduate).


Applicant Requirements

  • Eligible students must submit a complete application and attach all of the required documentation or the application will not be reviewed.

  • Application must be postmarked no later than April 22, 2017.

2017 Student-View Scholarship Program

The 2017 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $11,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school. This program includes;

  • One $4,000
  • Two $1,000
  • Ten $500 Scholarships


It is quick and easy to apply. There is no minimium ACT/SAT score or GPA, No essay, No application fees or lengthy application. DREAM$>life Scholarship

This year, four qualified, graduating high school seniors in the state of South Carolina will each be awarded a $500 scholarship. He or she must be planning to attend a two or four-year institution and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Deadline for all submissions will be April 24, 2017 at 11:59 pm. SCADA Scholarship for Automotive Excellence

This scholarship will be awarded to deserving students pursuing an education and career in automotive technology. Recipients will be eligible to receive awards up to $5000. BlueCross BlueShield of SC Urban League Scholarship

This $5000 scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating African-American high school senior who reside in Richland, Lexington, Newberry, Fairfield, Sumter, Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee, and Allendale counties. WWDM Brenda Jones Memorial Scholarship

This $5000 scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating African-American high school senior who reside in Richland, Newberry, Lexington, Fairfield or Sumter counties. Lexington County Law Enforcement Association Scholarship

Criteria for consideration:

  • Must be graduating Spring 2017
  • Must plan to attend 2yr or 4yr college and provide proof

Eagle Club Scholarship

The Airport High School Eagle Club will offer four $500 scholarships for student athletes.

CRITERIA:

1. Applicant must be a graduating senior at Airport High School.

2. Applicant must have Varsity experience in a sport offered at Airport.

3. Applicant must be accepted to attend a 2 or 4 year college/university.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

1. Complete an Eagle Club Scholarship Application.

2. Obtain two signatures from your teachers and/or coaches who would support your selection.

3. Submit the completed application to the Guidance Office by Friday, May 5th, 2017.

Woman's Club of Cayce Scholarship

  1. The scholarship will be awarded to a female high school senior who is a resident of Cayce and desiring to enter a field of study that will benefit the community.
  2. The 2017 scholarship will be in the amount of $1,000.
  3. Applications are due by Friday, May 12, 2017
  4. Three people will judge the applications - each filling out a score sheet independently.
  5. A point system will be used by the judges to rate the items on the application and the scholarship chairman will tally the scores and determine the winner.
  6. In the event that the applicant does not attend school within six months of the receipt of the scholarship money, the funds shall be returned to the club.

UNCF Scholarships

UNCF/KOCH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The UNCF/Koch Scholars Program (UKSP) is designed to teach students how to develop and apply an entrepreneurial mindset by exploring how the study of entrepreneurship, innovation and economics contribute to well being for individuals, communities and societies.

Students, who are competitively selected to participate in this program, will receive:

RECOMMENDATION GUIDANCE

Please Note the Following Guidelines on "How to Invite Reference/Recommender?"

One letter of recommendation is required for a complete application. The recommender must not be related to you. The recommendation form must be submitted before or by the deadline.

In order to give your recommender the maximum amount of time to submit his/her recommendation, you should enter all information for your recommender (name and e-mail) as early as possible. This Application System will remind you to "Invite References" until your reccomender has been invited. This generates an e-mail to your recommender notifying him/her of your application and request for his/her recommendation. Your recommender should log on to the website and register as a reference using the invitation code and information contained in the e-mail, then cut and paste a letter of recommendation for you into the Essay text box.

George Rogers Scholarship

All in the information needed is enclosed in the scholarship information. However, in short, applicants must be a:

  • South Carolina Resident

  • First-generation college student - defined as a student whose parent(s) have not graduated from an institute of higher education with a four-year degree

  • High school senior or a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student.

Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievements and honors, extracurricular and volunteer participation, work experience and essay responses. Application submissions will be scored using a scholarship application scoring rubric. Deadline is May 12, 2017.

Applicants may write on any topic. Entries must be at least 500 words long to be considered. Winners must enroll as an English Major for the Fall 2017-Spring 2018 academic year at Allen University to receive scholarship. Entries must be received by Friday, May 26, 2017. We are offering high school seniors the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship. 2017 Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship

The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcome adversity, and strength of character; have financial need; and are committed to pursue a career or technical certificate/degree.

  • Complete High School by Spring 2017 and attend a non-profit secondary institution by Fall 2017

BigSun Scholarship

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. Nursing Schools Almanac Scholarship

Nursing Schools Almanac has just launched its third annual Aspiring Nurse Scholarship. Our website will award a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates:
