Weekly Share

Thank you for supporting Goodness Grows!

Welcome to the first week of the CSA! We hope you enjoy all the items this week and throughout the season. We encourage you to let us know if you have any questions or concerns, any problems or praise. Your feedback helps us to grow and improve - and we are always striving to learn and make the best CSA program possible. This year we are trying to be a little more "green." Therefore, we have done away with the paper lists and recipes we sent home last year. This year, you will get a weekly email update every Thursday to let you know the contents of the share and to pass on some recipe ideas or helpful tips. Have any favorite ways to use fresh produce? Let us know and we will gladly share! Read on for your first update...

Recipe Ideas

There are so many ways to use all of this season's fresh produce. Feeling stumped or too tired to think about a recipe? Check out the ideas below for a little helping hand!

Fresh Mint

Here is a wonderful way to put that fresh mint to use in your kitchen. Besides garnishing a nice glass of tea with it, try it in this tasty rice dish from Betsy Andrews at thekitchn.com.

Goodness Grows Strawberries

One of the highlights of the season are fresh strawberries. We are so pleased with our first year of a wonderful strawberry harvest and we're thrilled to share it with you! Of course you could simply pop all your strawberries into some cream and enjoy a special treat...or just eat them plain by the handful. Or try the French toast bake below from Taste of Home.

Fresh Chives

There are so many uses for fresh chives. Can't beat baked or mashed potatoes with fresh picked chives! But if you are looking for something different, try this flavorful dip from Taste of Home.

Eggs & Chives

Couldn't resist adding one more recipe, since this is a great way to use both the eggs and the chives. It's another Taste of Home idea, because I have found their recipes to be very trustworthy. This is one of my favorite ways to put eggs to good use!
