Big picture

Continue to encourage appropriate behaviors

Our teachers have reported that classroom behaviors have been overwhelming. Our office team has been seeing this too. Any encouragement from home for students to act appropriately is always appreciated. Thank you.

Reading Competition

It’s a grade level Reading Competition between advisories

Start Date: Tuesday, February 22nd

End Date: Tuesday, March 15th

Prize: Top 2 advisories from each grade level get an hour of Recreational Time

Did you know that February is "I LOVE TO READ" month? Please encourage the kids to read at home throughout the month. Keep track of the pages read. The advisory in each grade level with the highest total wins the competition.

Parents Involved in Education Update

Our PIE group met last night to discuss a range of topics as well as to coordinate some fundraising ideas. We have some exciting ideas I hope to share with everyone soon. Until then, please let me know if you are interested in joining our PIE group.

Together, we are Jedlicka Middle School!

This has been a great week. Our 8th graders had guest speakers in Health and Seminar. Our 7th graders made posters in English as they learned about literary techniques. Our 6th graders are receiving an introduction to economics. The kids have also been very excited about our Valentine's Grams--just in time for Monday.

Have a great weekend,

Joe Krasselt
