Thomas Jackson
Thomas Jonathan Jackson Monument
This statue was a tribute of admiration towards the great soldier and patriot, Thomas Jackson. It shows that Thomas Jackson played a major role in Civil war. He got his nickname from General Bernard Bee shouting that Jackson was standing like a stone wall during the First Battle at Manassas. This monument tells me that people well respected Thomas Jackson and thought he was a great soldier and leader.
