Car Rider and Walker Tags

If your child will be a car rider or walker on any given day this year, you will need a car/walker tag for each student. Car/Walker tags are by grade and issued every year. Please get as many as you will need for family members that will be picking them up. Also, please throw away all tags from last school year.

Car tags are available in the front office Monday-Friday 7-4 pm. We will also have them available during Orientation Nights and Meet and Greet Teacher Night on Thursday, August 11th from 5:00-7:30 pm.

If a vehicle does not have a car tag and is in the car line to pick up a student, they will be asked to park and come into the front office with identification to get a car tag. This is for the safety of the student.

Important Bus Rider Information

If you would like your student(s) to ride the bus this year, you must complete the transportation registration form found in the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

If you have already created a Parent Portal account, skip to Step 2 ( If you do not already have a Parent Portal account, contact Shelley Lauth at (803) 821-0104 for assistance.

You must complete a form for each child if you have more than one student. All forms need to be completed by Wednesday, August 10th in order to ride the bus on the first day of school. It takes up to 3 days in order to process bus transportation requests.

Parents will be able to see their child's bus number on Monday, August 8th in PowerSchool Parent Portal.

If your transportation needs changing, or if you move, please log into Parent Portal and make this change. Also, please call the school at (803) 821-0100 to make them aware of transportation changes.

PK and Kindergarten Bus Transportation

Parents, please make sure that you completed the Kindergarten Bus Transportation tab in PowerSchool Parent Portal. It is the second tab. It requires you to list the name of the adults that will be meeting your child at the bus stop. They will need to have ID verification. Without this information, the 4K/5K child can not be let off the bus and will return to school. Thank you for your help with this!

If you believe that you might qualify for free or reduced meals, you MUST complete this online application. We encourage families to complete the meal benefit application as soon as possible.

For families who do not qualify for free or reduced meals, meal prices for next school year (2022–23) are listed below:

Breakfast is FREE for all students this year. Lunch costs are below.

Elementary: $3.30
Employees and Visitors: $4.50

Thank you for your understanding as we adjust our program based on federal guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact Ashley Summers at 803-821-1231.

Want to load money on your student’s lunch account? Here is how!

Lexington District One is moving soon to a new vendor called Titan, which will handle your student’s meal account. But for the next few weeks, you may continue to visit to upload money to your student’s meal account. Your meal account balance will transfer to the new system before the first day of school. We appreciate your patience as we work to change vendors

Did You Receive An Email or Letter From Food Services?

If you applied for free/reduced lunch and were approved, you will receive an email or letter from the office of Food Service and Nutrition. Please provide a copy of that to the front office to waive/reduce school fees. Without a copy of the letter, fees will need to be paid.

Doors open at 7:00 am and students will be dropped off in front of the school at the breezeway. Once busses have dropped off, students can also be dropped off in the bus loop starting at 7:15 am.

The tardy bell rings at 7:40 AM. If arrival is after 7:40, parents will need to park and walk their student(s) in to sign them in with the front office.

Pick-up will occur only in the front loop closest to the building. Cars will enter and exit in the same area (closest to the tennis complex) and be double stacked for dismissal. Signs are posted indicating where traffic will merge into one lane. Please see the diagram below for the traffic flow.
