An update: KCSD Online Elementary
Sept. 13, 2020
Dear families of KCSD Elementary Online students:
Thank you for your tremendous patience and grace as we’ve worked to get KCSD Elementary Online launched and ready for your students. I’m happy to let you know that we are ready to begin! You will receive an email from your KCSD Elementary Online teacher tomorrow, giving you directions for logging into Pearson Connexus.
Our teachers are working with up to 50 students so please continue to be patient – they are just as eager as we are to get your students logged in and learning. They will be working hard tomorrow to make sure that everyone is able to successfully log into Pearson’s learning platform. It will take some time to contact and provide needed support to everyone.
So what else is happening? KCSD Elementary Online now has its very own principal, Mrs. Fritz, former principal of Ferguson Elementary School. Mrs. Fritz is working part-time to help support KCSD Elementary Online students, families, and teachers. I am grateful for her willingness to work with us.
So what’s next? We are creating a webpage for KCSD Elementary Online with information about the program, its teachers, and how to contact Mrs. Fritz. We’ll notify you once we’ve finished our webpage and then you’ll be able to find KCSD Elementary Online on the Klamath County School District website like all of KCSD’s schools.
Thank you again for your patience in what has been a tremendously complex project over the past few weeks. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of your resident school and district team members who worked long hours to ensure that we are ready for launch tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 14.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Cole
Elementary Curriculum Director
