Parent Teacher Conference Tips & Must Dos!
- All at-risk students require a parent teacher conference.
- Show parents their student's performance on ELI, Kathy Richardson, Report card & assessments,
- Show parents their child's performance on I-Station Reading and Imagine Math in comparison to the class average.
- Share Think 30- 30 passed lessons is an indicator of students being ready for their STAAR assessments and to being prepared for college and career readiness.
- Show them a visual of where their child is expected to be performing at this time of year.
- Discuss interventions you're doing at school to ensure their child achieves a minimum of one year's growth.
- Invite them to partner with you by participating in reading to their children daily, practicing sight words, I-Station Reading, and Imagine Math.
- If technology at home is a barrier, seek a solution with the parents to get their children to school early or to stay after school with you to complete I-Station or Imagine Math.
- Document notes for the parent teacher conference for all at risk students. These notes will be required to be uploaded as documentation for the DTMSS (RtI) process that Ms. Mills and Ms. Dulin are going to be teaching you about. You might consider having your notes on a google doc until you're able to upload it into the DTMSS forms.

Important Reminders
- All students in 2nd- 5th grades MUST complete the universal placement tests in I-Station and Imagine Math by September 29th.
- All students who are at-risk, must have documented interventions you are doing in the classroom. Document your team's plan in the progress monitoring folder housed in our PLC folder. The names of the at-risk students along with LLI groups, times and days for this intervention and who is providing the intervention is an example of what this document needs to contain.
- Update your team's MTSS (RtI) data in your PLC folder.
- Bring a device to access this data at our monthly staff meetings on the 4th Thursday of each month, or bring a printed copy of this data.
