HEB Reads!
Please put Saturday, April 30 on your calendar. HEB Reads will kick off on April 30. HEB Reads is a summer reading program supported by all three cities and the city libraries. It is for children and adults to challenge you to read this summer!
HEB Reads kick off will be at Pennington Field from 10:00 to 12:00. You will be able to sign up the program, enjoy free food, games and music! We hope that lots of our students and families will be a part of this community initiative!
Kindergarten Kick Off
We are looking forward to meeting our incoming kindergarten students and families on Monday May 2 at 6:30 PM. Families with students who will be 5 on or before September 1 will be eligible for kindergarten. At our Kick Off meeting, families will be able to complete the first step of registration for the 2016-2017 school year. Families should bring:
Birth certificate

Proof of residency ( current utility bill or lease only)
Parent or guardian picture ID
Student social security card or number
We look forward to seeing our future dolphins on May 2!
Black and Blue Run For Hope
Please join the Meadow Creek team on Saturday, May 14 at the Black and Blue Run for Hope. You can sign up for the 1Mile Fun Run, 5K or 10K at www.6stones.org/run
We are hoping to have the largest and most enthusiastic team! Students, parents, friends and family can all sign up to be on our team and a part of the run/walk/jog. The school with the most members will earn $1,000 for our PE Department.
Come be a part of the team and help us raise money for school supplies and scholarships for 6Stones!
Congratulations to the PTA Reflection Contest Winners!
Congratulations to our Meadow Creek students who were recognized at the State and National level for the PTA Reflections contest. This is a wonderful achievement as nearly 60,000 students participate in the program annually and less than 3% of those advance to Texas PTA.

ColorCycle
Meadow Creek Parents, Teachers and Students:
Don't forget to bring used markers and highlighters of all brands to school for recycling through the ColorCycle program!
Please be sure to drop any old marker in one of the bins in the classroom or the large container in the office as you clean out your supplies at the end of the year. We are keeping THOUSANDS of dry and wet erase markers, highlighters, and regular markers out of the trash stream this way! Feel free to contact me with any questions about the program.
