Chapter 1: Meet The Great White Shark
Great White Sharks are swift and sleek. Did you know, there are more than 350 species of sharks? Great white sharks can grow to more than 20 feet long however they can weigh over 5,000 pounds. Did you know when a great white shark is under a boat it sometimes roles on it's side. This is how the shark got the "white" part in it's name. My dad said, "Great white sharks have to live in saltwater oceans." Did you know great white sharks live in oceans all over the world? They are mostly cited in oceans near California, South Africa, and in Austrailia.
Chapter 2: Food Finding
Great White Sharks are fierce predators. Young great whites eat fish. Adults eat elephant seals. A great white shark uses it's senses to find prey. My mom said, " Great whites don't useally attack people." When a great white shark attacks a seal it swims at the seal super fast then bumps the seal hard while biting it.

Chapter 3: The Aperance Of A Great White Shark
Great white sharks have five pairs of gills to breath. They have two dorsal fins on there back. However they also have one pair of pectoral fins to help them steer. The shark can smell seals from far away. They can also hear seals from far away. Great white sharks have white bellies while their backs and sides are gray. Great white sharks have cone shaped noses and streamlined bodies. Great white shark tails are shaped like the letter C. A great white sharks teeth are arranged in bands. Great white sharks teeth are shaped like triangles. The edges of the teeth are serrated.
